Great find Sid!! What helmet make do you wear? The only SA 2005 open face helmets i can find look like
rally drivers!! Does anybody know of a nostalgic looking helmet that meets SA 2005 spec??

Its 25 years since i drove with an open face helmet and a Simpson mask- the helmet is long gone!
I need to buy the right helmet over here and try it on over the simpson mask to make sure its the right
comfortable fit. DAVIDA make some great nostalgic bike helmets with all the "E" marks but not for racing.

Norm,

I had the same issue with my lid. Generally the peaks available on the correctly tagged helmets are something you'd see in World Rally Car, however, Zamp, whom are carried by JEG's, produce one such lid, in black, with a black lining, that's SA2005 approved.

If you got a modern lid you could always take the peak off like i did and fit a "back in the day" visor.
one thing i wish i would have done before getting mine painted.
just drill and screw the pop studs on... and before anyone says anything ive seen brand new lids done this way.

artwork on my lid was done by Mellisa Gee if anyones interested?. :) .

anyway me and JB have shown you our helmets now show us yours. . (or a particular favourite)
