Thanks to all those who bought stuff and gave donations to the Allard Chrysler restoration fund at the Xtreme Wheels show over the weekend. Great to meet up with so many old friends. The car will bee out amongst the hot rods at the Beaulieu Hot Rod Drive-In next week end so come and say hello.

These are some of the latest pics of the 354 Chrysler Hemi engine being prepared by Booth-Arons for the dragster. A real lady in red nearly ready to dance. Electrics, fuel, plumbing and Dyno to come. Should be ready for freighting early November. The chrome rocker covers are borrowed for the pics. Ours are still in the chrome shop and are very rare plain covers as used on these early engines. Thats The Maestro Denny Hummel of Booth-Arons who built the engine.

Good to see it together Brian.
The Potvin car was recently restored in california. These pictures are good references for what the Allard should look like.

Phil Brown has prepared a new ACAG shirt design that is now available from the merchandise page of http://www.allardchrysler.org. It retains the existing look but with the addition of the logos of those businesses supporting the restoration project. It's a bit like a rock concert shirt approach with logos instead of concert dates. Available as T-shirts or Polo shirts and the price has been retained at 2008 levels - £22.00 plus postage and packing. Discounts for multiple shirt orders. Help the fund by flying the flags of our supporters.

We have a new member of the ACAG's creative wing. It is Stuart Taylor who has created this quite different interpretation of the Allard Chrysler dragster complete with a line drawing of the 'Guv'nor' himself. Profits go towards the restoration fund and details are now posted on the merchandise page of http://www.allardchrysler.org
