Independent energy consultancy The Energy Check has been confirmed as the new Official Lane partner at Santa Pod Raceway.
The agreement will see the South Shields-based business help to manage energy consumption and identify energy saving opportunities at the home of the FIA European Drag Racing Championships. As official lane sponsors, The Energy Check’s branding will also now feature prominently above the drag strip’s left lane – to be known as “The Energy Check Lane” for the duration of the 3-year deal.
Caroline Holden, Commercial Manager of Santa Pod, said: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with The Energy Check. We know how highly regarded the business is across a range of sports and have been impressed with the work they have done in helping football, rugby and cricket clubs, as well as other events venues to improve their energy efficiency.
“We are sure that our partnership with The Energy Check will be similarly beneficial to us over the coming years.”
Head of Corporate Partnerships at The Energy Check, Shaun Martin, said: “As one of the world’s most iconic raceways, we are proud to have The Energy Check name associated with Santa Pod for the next three years. I look forward to seeing many victories for racers in the left lane!”
Corporate Partnerships Manager at The Energy Check, Marcus Mellor, said: “Over the coming months we will be working closely with the team at Santa Pod to help them in getting the best deal on their utilities and taking steps to reduce their energy consumption wherever possible.”
