timetravel wrote:Yes twas a great day at the drags yesterday... I took a friend who’d never been to a drag race or rodding event before and he was blown away by the diversity of cars and bikes there. From fastidiously prepared race cars to rat rods he loved ‘em all. He was particularly impressed with Norm’s twin, bought a Tee-Shirt and got to sit in it while Herb explained the controls… thanks Herb... I think he’ll be back!!! :D
Thats ok Nick, I'm sure he will be back. I'd encourage everyone to bring a friend, who's either never been to a drag race or a former racer/spectator, as if their impressed they will continue to come back.

Very nice variety of pictures Jon.

Brilliant weekend, never seen the Hot Rod Drags so busy even though I had my head stuck in the engine all weekend trying to sort out a fuelling problem gave up at 2.00 pm on Sunday and decided to watch some racing instead.
Well done to every one involved.
Got to put a few faces to names, thanks for dropping by Jaytee and introducing me to Jon (UKDRN)and Barn whose MkI Cortina looked stunning and got a very well deserved Dirty Dozen award.
Caught up with loads of old friends too.
High point of the weekend...........gotta be Wildr at Heart Funny car 6.77 @ 205 :) :) :)
Hopefully be there next year with the coupe painted and running properly.

Ray
