great articles Herb, and yes they were Lotus wheels. They just happened to be taking up space in the Allard workshops at the time so were used on the dragster....

Brian

After I posted the Autosport article it got me wondering if anybody is collecting Allard memorabilia for the ACAG, for reference and display purposes.

Hopefully all ACAG members keep their eyes peeled for useful references and memorabilia. I'm gradually collecting general nostalgia drag racing items I think might raise funds for the project. We are talking about re-opening the nostalgia items page on the website to list them. Rather than an auction I'm favouring a 'contact Brian and make him an offer he can't refuse approach'. This gives me a chance to package other items and explain more about where the money will go.

Latest news from Booth Arons about Ally's new engine has just been posted on http://www.allardchrysler.org. Lots of new pics too. Check Latest News on the menu. A couple of little hitches but things moving quite well. We need more funds now so check out the merchandise page on the site as well.

How about this for a painting of the Allard Chrysler Mk II dragster in the wet at Blackbushe 1965. It's by Paul Whitehouse and is being auctioned for the Allard Chrysler Mk I restoration fund. Details on http://www.allardchrysler.org select Latest News from menu.

What a cracking picture Brian, Paul's done a great job on it and I hope it raises plenty of money.
