The 2023 Brighton Speed Trials, run by the Brighton and Hove Motor Club is listed as being on Saturday 2nd September.

For around the last 40 years or so, the VMCC Sprint Section have been running the motorcycle side of the event by kind invitation of the Brighton and Hove Motor Club.
The VMCC Sprint Section have posted a Press Release on their website on Monday 1st May 2023 with regard to the 2023 Speed Trials which makes for informative reading.

The opening paragraph reads - “It is with great regret that the VMCC Sprint Section Committee announce that they will not be running the motorcycles for the foreseeable future at the Brighton Speed Trials.”
A sad day indeed for what is considered to be the World’s longest running motorsport event.
Photos show the Brighton Speed Trials post 2000, showing the ‘shelf’ (as it was available for paying spectators as the arches were open) and the Madeira Drive as it was then.
Searching the interweb (maps), a relatively recent view of Madeira Drive can be found for those who would like to compare how things have changed.
