Barn,
Thanks for taking James out for a test drive. He was impressed as were many others who saw your car. At least it has given him some drive to get his Mark 1 on the road. With help from good old dad of course as I have nothing to do.

belongs to me and thanks for the comment. its a 100e escort bbc,glide and a nine inch built by the draper brothers in essex and came north with me four years ago when i moved up to rothes in aberdeenshire ive finally had the time to finish the car and get down to the track its been a long time coming 16 years in fact and i cant say enough good things about charlie and his abillities with a methanol motor i know enough to get it running but charlie set the thing up and now it barks like feck :D. still need a better mag so if anyone has a super mag for sale let me know please.

I love that little purple ford, I spotted it in 'Drakie's' album on the Shakespeare fb page today ..

Unfortunately the tower didn't receive any commentators notes for the purple Ford but I'm sure that I heard someone say that the Draper Bros have had something to do with the build or the choice of running gear used. Custom Car editor Dave Biggadyke also had his head in the cabin of the van on Saturday. Maybe an up and coming feature is on the cards!

Nigel I never got round to thanking you for bringing Atomic Rebel to the Drags at the weekend. It was such a busy weekend that I didn't see the car on display but I was told that it was outside of the marquee along with Northern Spirit and the Heritage Stock Cars. Thanks again.
