Dont suppose anyone really interested .i just wanted to say a few words about the transition of SneakyGloworm AFC 2 to The Entertainer AFC20 .Graham Stockley and myself were mechanics? In Blackpool with a history of American Cars. A good friend of ours Roland Chaplin was selling his slingshot dragster , i wanted to buy it as a first rung into drag racing, so. Over a pint one night i put this to graham only to be told he had bought Gloworm off Phil Elson as a rolling chassis no engine or transmition. It sat in the garage for a few months while we decided what to do with it, ths was in 1979 . Then one day out of the blue Graham said he had bought a ready to race hemi engne.Bearing in mind that at this time we didnt have a pot to piss in and our boss wanted us to move the car from the garage. It transpired said engine was Gloworm,s engine..pon stripping it down it had a really strange hole between block and head including head gasket. So not ready to race .if anyone finds this story interesting which i doubt i will continue . Please let me know..Allan..
