This is how its listed on e-bay Item number: 320304728716
Most readers on this web site will know this as the Bob Nixon chassis of Nick Pettit's "Cool Cams" or as the original name which I put back on the steel Toppo body "High Fever", this was the second toppo body that Ian Garbutt ran with in the late 60's.
The old war horse has been hanging in the rafters of a garage after being exchanged in lieu of cash for some work done on a car.
The body as far as I am aware is still in Andy Kirks warm garage after the engine let go whilst being filmed for channel 4's Garage Machanics.
As the seller says I hope it goes to a good home and makes it back to the black top.

The ARE Magnesium wheels Andy had polished, removing years of patina then sold them on after a change in direction with the project, you can read about the train of events on the Drag Rod & Classic site follow the link to read Andy's account at http://www.drcreview.com:80/news.asp?art=114
On the same site on the classifieds you can see the Don Green engine which he brought to replace the SBC.
I spoke to Nick at the HRD's, I think he would like to campaign the car agian but he has another project on the go, which is why I turned it down when it was offered back to me. Too many toys and nothing moves forward very fast unless you are paying someone else to do the work.

Wan't it Channel Four's version of Monster Garage the car was to be featured in at Shakespeare County. I'm sure that it was down to race with a V8 powered Milk Float designed, built and hosted by Cookie.

Here's the car in an earlier form. Bob in the overalls. My son Andrew in the seat.
Bit scary that as he's now 23 with a Bsc 1st class. Did someone say . Where did those years go?

She has two cowls, one for the Toppo body and one without, you can just make out from one view on e- bay that the seller has just laid one over the other, the one for the toppo body just gave you a bit more room to access the cockpit or should that read more room to get out in a hurry.
I only ran a few times without the body whilst learning how to attempt to control an FED as opposed to my old Pop which was a piece of cake in comparrision to the rail. Nick will be able to answer the Torture Lab 11 question, it was on the cowl when I fitted it.
The picture at York is where I ran my best times with her all low 11's. no track prepping, just concrete, rain or shine, just how drag racing used to be, now a bit of oil or water and everything is on hold for what always seems an hour when your suited up and sitting in the fire up road.
Picture to show the short cowl
