Just to let everyone know - Ally will be on display with Commuter at the Main Event, Santa Pod over the Spring Bank Holiday. Several personalities associated with both cars over the years will be hanging out. Keep an eye on Eurodragster for details and drop by to say hello. Members of the ACAG will be on hand to update you on the restoration project.

You'll need to contact Doug Hill at the Museum. It all depends on what events they have on at Beaulieu and having the transportation plus security costs covered. The manning of the car at the event can usually be covered by the ACAG.

Back home and recovering from a great weekend at the Pod with Ally and Commuter. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello - particularly those who gave money to the restoration fund by donations or buying product. And thanks to Santa Pod who provided our Nostalgia Marquee and fed our attending legends. Thanks to the ACAG team for looking after stand visitors and Antony Billington for bringing along Commuter. Pic shows a very important visitor with Ally - top American drag racing star Melanie Troxel along with me on the left, British Drag Racing Hall of Fame Chairman Stuart Bradbury and on the right of Melanie is Alan Allard who drove the car in 1964. On Sunday they were joined by Dennis Priddle, Mike Hutcherson, Syd McDonald, Peter Billington, Ken Cooper and Doug Hill of Beaulieu. Paul Whitehose was there with his beautiful Nostalgia Drag Racing paintings. And it was nice to meet up with others like Lesley Prior, Mick Gleadow and Mike Lintern. One more name from the past took the pic; Roger Phillips, Custom Car's ace photographer in the 1970s.

thought this would be of benefit to the ACAG.

Yes it probably could be a benefit but it depends upon other activities the museum might have and getting the costs of transportation covered/sponsored plus security. Doug Hill at the museum is the point of contact regarding all these points. If he thinks it can be covered then we will certainly find ACAG members to man it.
