I've also heard Robin wants to build a blown nitro Daimler for NFAA competition but due to the max nitro percentage being 85% he feels he can't make it work (needs to be 100% nitro or there abouts)

thanks for putting that mini onI know you cant see the enging, but here is Doodle Bug sitting in my mates garden in Barry. This was around 1991/2. It was blown with a flying tolet & used motor cycle pistons.
He used the engine in a rod and sold the rest to someone who worked in the helicoper factory near Weston Super Mare, never to be seen again. (I was offered the chassis and body, but at the time did not have anywhere to put it.)

I remember Doug Bond sitting around one night at the track reminiscing about Daimler Hemi's on Nitro, apparently certain Triumph pistons fit the bore perfectly and give a really good compression ratio for use with blown nitro motors.
