Fifth picture Jon looks like it was taken at a circuit judging by the breeze block wall, railway sleepers and armco. Surely not Felton...Silverstone maybe!

Your probably right Jerry, when I scanned the slide I wasn't sure if it was the same venue,I thought if Shabby came back on he would probably say something.
Any idea on the altered Jerry? As Darren said it's a strange driving position.

Not really Jon. Need to see another picture. You haven't got a side on view or race number. There are CC markings on the side and that's all....

 Hi everybody
The lilac altered is Ricky Brookes Stripper, very early on probably its first time out,I,d forgotten
how much of a steering offset it had!-mind you the camera angle does,nt help, think its a young
Jacquie Philips (later of Dads Objection 1 & 2) sitting in there.
Could the bike be at NDRA meet at Snetterton?
2 ID,s from vehicle history strand
Blue Slingshot ID- It is the Arthur Hirst car photoed at Felton-On this strand leaving line the same
car ,which I earlier thought was Shadowfax,I remember he had loads of kids as seen on push car photo!
Anybody ID This-The weird looking slingshot with the really forward engine was at Felton(Alan Sutton
of Artful Dodgem (im)fame in the blue hat)I think it only ran at one or two meets,I,ve got feeling
that the engine went into the Sloe Screw altered.
Hope this Helps

Hi Folks
This picture got the grey matter working,I think the story behind this oddity was that
the guys started building Chev-powered Spitfire ,might even been a Herald, then decided
to go the whole way,if you look you can see the engine is on the Triumph mounts and the
Triumph chassis /suspension is complete with the outriggers removed-rear ty-bars lenghtened
and Imp wheels on the front.
Can,t remember it running very well and I think they bought Sloe Screw less engine and put
this Smallblock/trans in it and got that to run quite well.
Mind you I could be having a CRAFT moment and got everything completely wrong!

There can,t be many more Felton photos around!
I misplaced mine over the years-10 house moves and working abroad take their toll.
Of this latest batch:-Nice to see a shot of Artful Dodgem with its body on,barking!
The Corvette vs Capri,Black Vette ex Eric Burdon 327 very high spec car owned by
Tom Falconer one of the earliest members of NEHRA and now the boss of Claremont
Corvette in Kent,a really nice bloke.Claremont Corvette got its name from Tom,s first
business address in Claremont Road,Newcastle. The 3-litre Capri getting the holeshot owned
by Geoff Jackson-mind you it had a 3.1RS motor in it.
