This feature about the Page Brothers & Panic comes from the Duckhams Quest magazine who were associate sponsors at the time.

This interesting set comes from 1981 when Autocar magazine sent one of its test drivers to Santa Pod for a look at the Scorpion Jet Dragster. I haven't read yet if our brave test driver took a turn behind the wheel or not...

Cracking thread Jerry, I don't know where you keep digging these up from but I'm sure people are enjoying reading them. 8)

Before Tiff Needell's attempt at piloting a Top Fuel Dragster his first ride in any form of drag racing took place at Long Marston on a cold damp day in 1982 as part of his Track Test series for Autosport magazine. Tiff's chosen ride was Russ Carpenter's Glacier Grenade; part of the Hepolite Glacier Race Team which included Steve Soper's Metro Touring Car. I asked Tiff a few questions afterwards but sadly I can't remember what he said but here's how it got on.

Some more from Speed & Power magazine. This issue is particularly special as most of the pictures are signed by the drivers.

Great articles, I've got to say that Clive Skilton's VX490 was one of the best looking UK funny cars ever, the stance was outstanding and I loved the union flag - it would make a great nostalgia car

I couldn't agree more, I would love to see that car recreated.
