The car was later renamed Night Line Express,I'm not sure if that has any connection with TNT

A Lex Wilkinson company?
It's running wires up front here .. sure I've seen a shot on the forum of it with a nice set of solid centrelines up front.
Looks a real nasty old digger in this pic!

Bizarrely my first thought on seeing that was "I remember that Fire Engine!" - The Pod must have got through a few of those in it's time (that could be a whole new thread - track support vehicles. We've already had the track driers)
That is Gardenia! Used to belong to a pal of mine in Irthlingborough, he sold it to the pod pretty much as a scrapper and they kept it for about five seasons!

August 1988 and Liv Berdstad comes out in Rune Fjeld's newly acquired dragster which was a early 88 built. model.
Liv had already done a few shakdown passess in Sweden and on Sunday run the car to a 5.72@224.
Note the funnycar headers.
I have a recallection that on one of Liv's early passes in the car (at HockenHeim) she lost a bank of headers at speed, luckily not losing the slick in the process. If it was only a week or so between Hockers and the August BH event at SPR, Rune may have had to pull FC headers out of stock to make the event? (Remember, that car was Rune's first 'Long car', and he perhaps hadn't built up such an inventory of spares).

Makes sense and is what I thought would be the story behind it, was just wondering if there was more to it than that - cheers.
