Saturday 2nd September is the diary date for the 2017 Brighton Speed Trials (known as “The FROSTS Brighton National Speed Trials”) with practice scheduled to start at 8.45.

The event is run by the Brighton and Hove Motor Club, with the event being sponsored by Frosts of Brighton.
As usual, the motorcycle side of things is being run by the Sprint Section of the VMCC as guests of the Brighton and Hove Motor Club,

At the time of writing, the 2017 Brighton Speed Trials are only a matter of days away.

Although its not actually Drag Racing (well, it did first run in 1905!!), it is a 1/4 mile standing start, and the top bikes (modern) can reach the 160mph mark. There’s usually a good variety of machines (cars and bikes), with the earliest dating from around the 1920's, all running along the famous seafront Madeira Drive.

According to the results, the Pop was running in the Handicap Class, and this looks like they have 1 practice run, and only 1 timed run.
Page 2, position 36 for practice - 14.06 at 69mph
Page 8, position 21 for timed - 12.6 at 107mph
