Alan Hawkins, the person who has been very kindly sending me the excellent pictures I have been posting in other threads ran a car himself called Valiant.
The car was rebuilt from a real old chassis which had a Daimler V8 in it originally but he's not sure of the history.
Bill James who ran the instigater rail (Marion James) driving rebuilt the car that Interestingly enough had the chassis bolted together behind the roll cage. Alan believe's that a drawing of this type of chassis was once shown in a early custom car magazine as a way of getting over storing your rail in a normal length garage.
It was 3.5 rover with one of the very early Trevor Langford nitrous kits on it. It also had home made roller rockers in it, made by hisy brother & his friend.
