Don Prudhomme has repurchased his old hauler, and is refurbishing it in the old hot wheels livery.

Yes, that lil' red bike trailer makes sense- you can keep the bike in the box behind the cab, and you got a place to party all set up out the back....

Here's some history for this thread, the current transport for the Speed Demon dragster as seen at Shakey last weekend.
Built as one of a pair by Dennis Priddle in the early 80's to tow his first rear engined car around Europe.
He then sold the trailer to Jim Read who used it for his pro comp car and then Steve had it after.
Vic Hammond brought it a few years ago and put it back on the road replacing some of the parts with bits from a forklift.
Vic told me that to this day the trailer has never shown any signs of any kind of leakage.

And here's the sister trailer that Dennis built seen at Dragstalgia the other week and home to Robin's car.
I guess there may be quite a few of these old trailers around so who's got the oldest UK one then?

I saw the ex steve read trailer being towed through Irchester before dragstalgia and it brought back some memories. My dad crewed for the Turners for decades and when they first went methanol dragster they borrowed this trailer from steve read. I spent many years as a kid hanging around this trailer. I think it went to Doug bond when the Turners finished their big rig.
I must sound very sad to know so much about a trailer but there you go.

Not sad at all, I would imagine many people on here grew up around race trailers so they would bring back many memories.
Here's Russ Carpenters at Dragstalgia, what's the history on this?
