Part 1. - Havoc.
The Summer Nationals is always a good and enjoyable no-nonsense sportsman meeting.
Together with some great sportsman racing we always have a few goodies thrown in for good measure and this year was no different with the Glassup Bubblegum nitro nostalgia Capri making good progress and the return of the Havoc altered which now has the 6.0sec motor from Chaos between the rails.
Scott Barnes and the other 2 lads have been working hard getting the car ready to have a proper shot of the visiting American's at Dragstalgia.
After a couple of decent checkout passes and with the motor running sweet Nick pushed the car to a wicked 6.59@174mph 1000ft pass, which was not only magic to watch but also bodes well for what promises to be the best drag meeting of 2016, Dragstalgia.
Well done all 3 of the team.
New crew member was on polishing duties. But couldn't handle 90% of the hard stuff under the canopy Trying not to choke and take pictures at the same time.
First checkout pass. The best just got better. Ready.

The Bubblegum team continue to improve. The Drapers pretty altered looks to be more consistent now but Jim just needs to suss the burnouts out Steve Wollatt looked quick all weekend and run a excellent PB in the final of 6.24 @217 mph Andy Robinson was on the numbers all weekend and looks to be back were he wants to be. In an excellent final he squared off against Michel Tooren I think you can see Andy won. 6.09 232mph vs 614-233mph Kev Slyfield T-Bird looking fine Waiting for the flame isn't easy but I done it The emotions of Jnr Drag Racing Can be harsh Or happiness Holly Marshall was punching the air in delight when she see that her opponent ha red lit. The final of Jnr Drag Bike was a classic burn down The Bruiser is back Jon Webster getting some practice for the slingshot showdown at dragstalgia Nice The Powells good looking Super Pro dragster Fight fire with fire Craig White got more seat time The Nostalgia Super Stock final. Over 40 NSS are entered for dragstalgia.

Strange that the frame that Youtube has grabbed from the video I shot of Havoc (above) is nearly identical as the image I shot with my camera in my other hand.

Actually the nitro % was 86, but for all of us, as it has been so long since being close to the infamous motor, e.g. a whole winter, we forgot how it makes ones eyes water. As Nick said, in a recent Eurodragster article we all need to use our masks....-:)

The motor is in good and capable hands, but needs a touch more purple showing, methinks......

Nick told me he drained the 86% and put 90 in but whats 4% amongst friends

Hi Jon, always good to see you too.
I was referring to the first warm up on the Saturday, when the fumes caught us all by surprise, I think the 90% only went in on the Sunday... -:)
Re the upcoming Dragstalgia I have suggested they have plenty of tie-wraps and Velcro to keep it all together... I will be using pampers on the start line.....
