Part 1. More later.
The season opener for Santa Pod's 50th anniversary season promised so much before hand but despite the crews constant hard work on the track I think it's fair to say the weather won this one in the end.
We did have a lovely day on Friday and just to go drag racing after a tough winter was great.
Some promising performances and plenty to look forward to for the rest of the season.
Action
Bob Hawkins has a ton of updates on the Time Traveler 2 including a bigger blower and I expect to the car to run quicker than ever in 2016 How does the quickest man in the world on two wheels test which way the gale force winds are blowing, with a tissue. And then does this. Another car with plenty of new updates and upgrades was Julian Webb's Jet.
The flame was impressive as Roy watches on. Team Extreme now own the Bentley which took out 4 blocks on one pass. Dan Williams had to chase down James Forster but crossed the center line after a huge wheelie. Michel Tooren was taking his first passes on the Pro Dutch Pro Mod and done really well. Laura leaving hard. The weather stopped Kirstie Tramm running her first round of eliminations Peter Walters has a striking new paint scheme on his dragster to celebrate 10 year of PWR. The Apache car is looking very strong for 2016. The other teams in NFC have a lot of catching up to do. Annie Wallace done really well in the Pop. Somebody else who's looking good in the hot seat is Robbie Graham. Time to turn the wick up Dave I don't know anything about this but it looked damm quick. Kevin Kent sat around all day on Saturday for just a launch. Craig White down well in Super Pro. Steve Wollatt flying as always Plenty of old ford's about. Rene van den Berg's stunning Top Fuel Bike.
