I had a great weekend track side at the Santa Pod Summer Nationals courtesy of the SPRC.
A top notch surface provided by the SPR crew as always coupled with some great sportsman racing although I don't think the word "sportsman" does justice to the racers and teams as there as pro as anybody else in drag racing.

I'll upload some more pictures soon but I really wanted to mention the best match racing I can ever remember provided by the Nitro cars of team Apache and Chaos.
Every time these two race you never know who will get to the stripe first with ground thumping low 6 seconds passes at over 220mph which is sheer joy to witness.
Chaos again cemented the title of quickest fuel altered in Europe running as quick as 6.0818 @ 215mph.
Well done to both teams and drivers and thanks for the excellent show.

Great pics as usual Jon.

This last year has been great fun, both teams have enjoyed it enormously. They whipped us most of the time but at least we managed to close the gap a little. As you're doubtless aware Nick's now out of the drivers seat and it'll probably take Jake a while to get up to speed. Bob's due to debut the Capri at Dragstalgia and I imagine we'll see Andy and Karls Beetle next Easter. With Wendys Mustang rebuilt who knows, nitro racing.... maybe, just maybe.....

See you at Dragstalgia, and put a chin strap on that cap. It bounced off Tims blower pulley :)

Thanks Rob.

Next near should be really interesting with all the new nitro cars coming out and one you missed is Doc Stinger.
After seeing what you guys have done I'm really hopeful we can get a some more cars in the mix.
The level of performance has been one thing but the consistency has been outstanding and that's done to you guys.
There be plenty going on at Dragstalgia to keep me happy and I can't wait to see Bobs car.

I didn't know that's where the cap went after it left my head  dam.
To experience that was amazing but apart from feeling completely disorientated the photos were crap and I can safely say I wont be standing there again. You lot make it look so easy.
For those who are interested to see what we're talking about that's me in the middle of the cars when they burnout.
