We have a local site near Wickham in South Hampshire which looks like great on paper but is simply doomed to failure on the basis of there being next to no public transport. There was a railway and nearby station but that went due to Dr Beecham - remember him? in the 1960s; narrow single lane local roads and no access to the M27. If it were to be agreed (against huge local opposition) the time frame is likely to be measured in decades not years. The immediate issue is going to be funding and no-one is rushing to put up the money. I suspect that most if not all of these sites are safe for many years.
