A few shots taken in the pits at Shakey a few moments ago of Charlie's new toy; the ex Matt Wright pick-up truck which will be making a few shakedown runs over the weekend in preparation for Bulldog in a couple of weeks time.

Charlie's truck ran a 16 second checkout pass but sounded real strong in the burnout. The Taxi Express runs a 496ci BBC, Brodix heads, Ross pistons and Ally rods made complete with an 8.71 Littlefield blower. Charlie has had the engine dyno'ed at 1250 bhp at 7000 rpm by John Sleath. Although the truck hasn't been seen here since the Ultimate Power Championship days with Matt Wright at the wheel it was good to see it back on the strip where it belongs. We'll report any further updates shortly.

Talk about the ultimate bum scraper, Scott's best was a 10.478/152.17 although he has run a best of 10.1 at Santa Pod.

A few from Steve Weston starting with Bill Murffin's big block Ford 596ci 105E Ford Anglia. Going into the event Bill's PB was 8.56. Now its 8.454 at 130 mph coupled to a best 60ft of 1.294.
