Finally a few of mine and hopefully better later than never.
A great sportmans meeting and apart from a couple of mishaps it was very well run so well done to all the Shakey team who did a top job all weekend.
One thing that I found amusing was the drivers who instead of rolling through the water box before starting the burnout actually started the burnout in the water so here is top 3 in the "Shakey Spray" competition
No3:Alan Loten who gave a decent show with some spray and a small rooster tail
No2: Adam Price who gets a nice wider spray of water. (He did go on to make a fantastic save during a wild ride in the car)
No1: A clear winner with huge rooster tails on both sides was Bob Hawkins in the ex Speed Demon car
Bob did the quickest pass in WB history and just a little slower than Sam ever run in the car.
Ginner was getting some serious air in the drop dead gorgeous van.
Team Walters after a long drive back and thrash to install the second motor.
Outlaw Anglia winner Colin Millar
Phillip James was giving some fantastic line lock burnouts in the old Monza
Alex Hope trying to keep the front wheel down
Look at the tyre shake Paul Hensher was having
The new Orange Pop van not only looks good but it can haul as well.
Poor Dave Thomas holds on.
Matt Coopers hard work paid of with a cracking 8.75
WB winner Keith Crampton
Team Backdraft were still suffering with a aggressive torque converter that was slamming the car onto the wheelie bar and unloading one wheel.
Team Hauser must be one of the teams to beat this year in Super Pro ET.
Phil Pratt ran well and won 9.50 bike.
Matthew Smith lifts the wheels in the SE Escort.
Burnout king of the weekend was easily Dave Russell.
Tom Atkinson's Cortina is back on song.
