Mopars 2014
Going by the amount of people at this years event it seemed to me to be the best attended Mopar's ever with decent crowds all weekend.
As always the amount and quality of the vehicles attending were outstanding and the show and shine was packed on Saturday and Sunday with a stunning array of eye candy.
The top sportsman event was interesting and proved again that the quickest cars don't always win although a consistent 7.30's car from Dave Townsend shone through in the end.
The additional of a round of the MSA Pro Mod was a good idea and went don't very well with the public (and me
)
Andy Robinson was the class act of the field running down as low as 6.15 and winning the event but there were plenty of other great performances like the Tramm and Isaacs Duster that run a 6.69 @ 212mph and Kev Slyfield and Rick Garrett were running decent mid sixes..
The burnout competition is always popular and some nice other touches this year like some bands playing in the show and shine area in the sun was different and cool.
I must give a special mention to the Santa Pod crew who had to deal with a large number of oil downs in the hot and humid weather and as always dealt with it quickly and professionally.
A very enjoyable weekend.
Pictures later.
