Great photos as usual Jon, I'm glad we gambled on the weather and went up for the day, not as busy as usual, wish I'd had a car finished to take with me.

Quite agree, always good to see your photo's Jon, even when I go there are always things that you miss seeing, and then there they are in your photo folder, thanks.
Was only able to go on Friday as I had a job the next day (now I'm a pensioner  I have to take the odd job), but gave me the the chance to check out the change of gearbox, which improved consistency and helped times a little, but over the day the performance seemed to deteriorate, so went cruising round the site, spoke to a few old faces ((phew nearly spelt that with an rt instead of ce ) and then made to go home, and that's when the motor stopped. Later restarted it, got on the road, but it was soon popping and banging, and stopped again, - the coil was red hot! The RAC man was convinced he could fix it..... but for the first time in my life we had to go on a transporter home to Devon!

That's a long enough trip to Devon anyway let alone in a transporter. :o

You've got to like this car. So much history carried here. Adrian Sidwell's Opus - chassis no 562 and owned since 1974. For the nationals Adrian had added a C142 Allard Shorrock supercharger and 13" slicks for a better time out! Adrian also tells me that he's planning on building a replica Dragon Chassis so that the engine can be simply dropped in so that he can play with Alan Smith's original Dragon Dragster for some 1960's Ford powered dragster match races! I can't wait.

I'm not 100% sure that this is Mick's old car. I spoke to this guy a few years ago back and seem to remember him saying this was a different car, dam memory. Anybody know anymore?

He's on Paul Wrights crew and it's deffo not Mr shiffter. I believe he's planning another car. Something along the lines of Brian Paynes car.
