A car that I found interesting was Sidewinder? which was off Time Travel DVDs. It was a Flathead pop on a pilot chassis. Has Time Travel or anyone got any picts/ details of it? Best times etc?
This is the only pic I have, taken in 1969 when Vern Foale was running it, I think Mike Lintern was involved with the car as well. It was originally put together by Alan Sherwin and called "Lurch" in 1967. As you say it was a Pop body on a Pilot chassis and was powered by a 266ci '49 Mercury Flathead V8 which had been rebuilt at Ambica Engineering with Allard aluminium heads, a Wade blower and a pair of S.U.s running Methanol.
