Wheelie Cars

Anybody no what happened to the Vauxhall Wheelie cars,first there was a FD Victor Estate running a straight six Jag which was then replaced by a 455 Olds motor,then the later bodyed estate with Kelly Supercharger sign writing.Later this body looked like it had a Carlton shape front added.

That pic looks like it was taken around '74 and I remember seeing the car in a garage forecourt near Hastings around about that time. I've never seen any mentions in any magazines about the car but I have these two pics copied from some slides lent to me by "Muddytalker" about 10 years ago for one of my D.V.D.s. They were taken at York in 1979 any ideas Muddy? Image

I'm wondering if the pic of 'Hi-Riser' was taken 76'77 as Ron Picardo's truck in shot was a summer 77 CC cover car.
As for the Marina at York, those empty pits look like maybe the Saturday of a meet, I don't think RWYB's started there until 81/82. I went to every Sunday meet there in 79 apart from August which I think was wet and didn't see it. But I'm not doubting it was there at some point over the season.
