Many of you will know that I prepare a regular News Update for ACAG supporters on my e-mail list. This has normally been in the form of a pdf attachment to an e-mail and it has been posted on http://www.allardchrysler.org under Latest News. Thanks to our good friends at Drag Racing Confidential it is now available as an on-line turn-page magazine and the last two issues can be found at http://www.drceurope.co.uk/acag/oct2011 and http://www.drceurope.co.uk/acag/nov2011. We plan to improve the layout and extend the content as time goes by so those on Facebook or other on-line social communities please place the link on your profile page and share.

Sorry it's been a few days BDRHoF selector's meet and that blew out a couple of days. I've posted a few pics of the stripdown on http://www.allardchrysler.org in the galleries. They are at the end of the 2011 set. There will be more details on Eurodragster.com soon and then in the ACAG December News on-line magazine. Here are a few pics. The dragster is now spread across Southern England with sub-assemblies being restored.

We are looking to start a trial rebuild of the car at Andy Robinson Race Cars over Dec 28/29/30 this year. If you want to help e-mail roberrl-1@robinson-race-cars.co.uk. It's a rare opportunity to work on such an iconic vehicle and the closest you'll get to how Sydney Allard, John Hume and David Hooper felt when they first built the car in the winter of 1960/61.

The exciting new partnership between the Allard Chrysler Action Group and the Institute of the Motor Industry means that there will be many opportunities for owners of competition cars to display them at events throughout the UK to promote the values of automotive apprenticeships in the UK. It gets you and your vehicle in front of the motor industry establishment, giving extensive opportunities to publicize drag racing and your own competition activities as well as exciting young people entering the motor industry. The first one of these is at Derby College in the Johnson Building, Pride Park over January 11th/12th. Contact brian@allardchrysler.org for more details or tel 01395 579733.
