It was pointed out to me that 2016 is the 40th anniversary of the Garlits meet when I beat Garlits and ran the first Five. They also mentioned that it was Santa Pods 10th anniversary (hence the Garlits invite) too.
So its going to be Santa Pods FIFTIETH Year!!!!!!in 2016 Let's hope it is a landmark Anniversary and I still can't believe that way back in 66 I raced my blown Cortina at the Pod's first year,how it all would turn out.
What a ginormous achievement FIFTY Years of Santa Pod home of British Drag Racing !!!

50 years of the Pod .....And still the signposting from the A6 is rubbish to non existent!!!
I first went to the Pod on my 125 Vespa in 1967 and yes I got lost on the way......... The Pod has steadily improved in all aspects over those years and has provided many many happy memories.
