back to the original question...........surely there are more cars ie british built below 8 flat ..what about brucie brown what about all those cars in early 70s and late 60s

Like you Bill I thought more cars were out there. I had Tony Densham's 'Commuter' and Bruce Browns 'Age Machine, later to be run by Dave and Ros Prior, as candidate's for the 'under 8 club' but was surprised the best I could find was an 8.45 for Commuter.

Although Sunday got completely rained out (yet again) fester, from the SCR data sheets Alec ran a best of 9.599/145.76 with the new set up midway through Saturday afternoon. I believe son Tom also took a turn behind the wheel later in the day.

Is that right the (ex) Plan X chassis has been sold, abroad?
If its correct what plans does the new owner have, will it run again and in what class?

the guys Haken andersson pro comp driver
built it up, bought it, came down to HRDs then drove back to immingham
26 hrs to get home
very enthusiastic, loved the hot rods and they will be bringing the car back next yr
