The link below takes you to the December 2013 issue of our on-line magazine ACAG Update, carrying news about the project including the dragster’s appearance at the recent International Historic Motoring Awards event in London.

http://www.drceurope.co.uk/acag/dec2013

There is also lots of information about recent British Drag Racing Hall of Fame activities plus other nostalgia topics. With the Festive Season coming on fast all the ACAG merchandise is listed and priced. Profits go towards completing the restoration and now helping with operational costs as well. Work on the clutch and others items starts between Christmas and the New Year.

Thanks for all your support over the years. It has been a challenging but rewarding project. But with your help, and the tireless work of the regular team members, the future of Europe’s first dragster is now secure. People can see and hear the car that opened up the door for the development of drag racing right across Europe. Something to be proud of I think.

It’s been a 6-month’s gap but the Allard Chrysler Action Group has just published the Spring 2015 Issue of its online magazine ACAG Update.
The 44 pages cover the latest news about the Allard Chrysler dragster restoration and associated events, along with a big résumé of British Drag Racing Hall of Fame activities. There’s lots of exciting news under both headings. This link takes you to the turn-page magazine with the on-line version published by Nigel Holland of http://www.mantisweb.co.uk.

On the Allard Chrysler side of things, once we receive the replacement pistons things can move on a pace. With the BDRHoF story there are so many exciting announcements stacked up ready to blow your minds away when you read about them it will feel quite surreal. Be patient and all will be revealed.

I haven’t published many issues of our on-line magazine ACAG Update (Allard Chrysler Action Group Update) during 2015 because the engine was being re-built and we had problems with getting the right parts. Hence, progress on getting Europe’s first dragster (owned by the National Motor Museum Beaulieu) back into being ‘cackle ready’ has been slow and there has not been much to report. However things are now speeding up again so this issue covers progress during the year. Now that Simon Groves is editing the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame (BDRHoF) publication HOFtalk I have refocused ACAG Update on the dragster although there will be links to BDRHoF website and HOFtalk when published. This link takes you to the December 2015 issue of ACAG Update.

Spring 2016 should see us up and cackling again and with a fair wind, for the first time since 1964 we should see the Allard Chrysler parading under its own power.
