Hi everyone

The link takes you to the latest on-line issue of ACAG Update - Spring 2016 . It covers the work carried out on the Europe’s first dragster (Sydney Allard’s 1961 Allard Chrysler owned by the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu) since December 2015. We should be firing the car up later this month and hope to make appearances at Beaulieu (Hot Rod and Custom Show), Santa Pod (Dragstalgia and Euro Finals), Burley (Aston Martin Owners) and the Brighton Speed Trials. The dragster is always on display at the museum of course. Work on the dragster takes priority so everything is yet to be confirmed.

I have used the front cover to pay tribute to Sydney Allard who died 50 years ago on the same weekend that Santa Pod Raceway (Europe’s first permanent drag strip) opened at Easter 1966. I think it is important to remember the ‘Father of British Drag Racing’ as we celebrate Santa Pod’s 50 years.
