I'm incredibly honored and proud to be able to share with you a part of Bootsie’s private collection of memorabilia. Over the coming weeks I will be sharing unseen photographs, timing slips, newspaper cuttings and other goodies from around 1978 onwards.
Many of the photo's have never been seen and published before . Many of the press cuttings I have also never seen reproduced.

I couldn’t think of a better way for this website to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
The non-Bootsie press cuttings will be shown in other appropriate threads on ukdrn.

I wish to personally thank Allan Herridge JNR for very kindly allowing me to share this personal collection.
Without him none of this would have been possible.

To start here's a proud Allan standing next to his creation of the mighty Scorpion jet dragster.

A couple of good early shots on the jet that came from a lightning jet fighter mounted in the frame.

Some more build shots of Scorpian.
Before somebody writes to me. I think the car was designed and built by
Bob and Roy Phelps, Allan Herridge, Mike Coburn and Andrew Hurdle.

As Scorpion looked at Dragstalgia a few year back.
Looking rough but still around thankfully.

Good stuff Jon, interesting to see build photos, I was never a fan of the car but wonder what it would take to get the body and chassis back in shape for displaying, sad to see it as it is now

I don't think anybody would want to take that on a a project, I'm pleased it's still around though.
I think it was a good idea in theory but I think it weighed 2 tonne or more.
Allan and the guys must have felt the same as everyone else and decided to build the much lighter and quicker. Hellbender and Vampire cars.
They took a trip to OCIR to look at the jets for ideas. I have those photo's coming up soon :-)
