i was studying this odd creation last sunday & go talking to the owners, it is being built as a nats special and should be running by then, it turns out it used to be a full size rear engined rail that ran in the wild bunch by the name of monster magic, race number 83, this can all be seen on the sides where the stickers have been removed, anyone remember it or have any pictures of it as it was?

Originally owned by Neil and Ged Townson who myself and my father used to crew for. My dad, brother and I bought the car complete in primer from them with a ford 302 and C4 box when I was 16. Had it painted up and graphics under the name 'Dreamcatcher', WB132. We sold the car to Gary Kay when the opportunity of a Bantam altered came up. Gary ran the car for a short while before selling it on to focus on Jaynes up and coming racing career I believe. It ended up with the monster magic guys who i believe put a 500ci caddy lump in it but i never saw it run.

So a reasonably good looking RED has been converted into an abomination (imho)!

I have to agree to be honest. Although, I'm not to sure what state the car was in by the time it got cut up. It looked pretty fine and was robust enough for us. I couldnt comment however how well it would stand up to a 500ci caddy lump and how much it had already been butchered to fit that. I also never saw it actually run in that guise!

I may be insulting people with my comments but be assured i do not intend to.
