I'm not sure if I have posted these before but I recently came across these magazine reports written by Brian Sparrow for Autosport magazine October 1964 covering the Festival races at RAF Kemble, Church Fenton, and of course Blackbushe. These make for some excellent reading. Click on the images for expanded views.

..not seen that one before Jerry ...a very interesting readmuddytalker wrote:Found another interesting article today in the pages of Motor Racing magazine; the inhouse publication of the British Racing & Sports Car Club from November 1964.
good thread this....we were in the 1000 ft stands at the 012 chrr at Famoso when Herb said 'see that man at the back ? thats Bob Keith'.... So obviously Linda and I went for a chat...Bob is in good health and remembers the dragfest well.It did put him a bit out of pocket because most of the money went to the nitro burners and the 'factory stockers' but he considered it well worth it....He knows where the Doug Church Porsche is [less engine] and has got most of his car back and is restoring it for Bakersfield...I said he could match race Tommy Ivo's buick double...he just grinned and said that would be no problem...
