I bought this 1972 issue 1/16th Scale Gene Snow "Revell Snowman" model yesterday at collectors fair for £25.00.

It said it was part built and the front tyres split.

Opened it and the body was part and so was the engine. The tyres have gone solid and split, after all they are 38 years old.

All the decals are intact and have not gone yellow which is nice.

The only major downside to it is there are no instructions.

As anyone out there got a set of funny car instructions they could copy for me please

What a collection.

How much does Tony Nancy "Loner" model go for these days? I had that built for me
by my Brother when I was younger and would love to have it again.

Hi Harefield

Thats some impressive collection you have there.

My collection of 1/16th is no were near as big as my 1.24-25th but im working on it.

The guy i bought that one gave me his contact details and said to drop him a email and when he gets any 1/16th kits he will let me know.

Thanks for the kind offer of sending the instructions. If drop me email off the site i will send you my address.

I have been topping up the 1/16th collection again.

from the top

Don garlits " Swamp Rat" - This is more a Spares collection but enough to build a car £ 17.00 ish from ebay.

Jeb Allen " Parying Mantis" - Complete kit bought for £40.00 from the Main Event ( bought it from the same guy as the gene snow funny car)

Don Prodhomme "Wynns Winder" Guy listed it as imcomplete. turns out its just an oil filler/vent from the engine missing but the decals have close to scrap £16.00 from ebay.

Don Garlits "Swamp Rat" - Complete though it did cost £65.00 from ebay

Gene Snow "Snowman " Funny Car. Bought as part built for £25.00 from a show. Thanks to harefield for the instruction sheet. The front tyres are scrap but i found that 1/25th Matchbox/Amt American truck tyres are more or less the same size and with a little tweaking will look just as good. Though i have now found a guy who makes replacement funny car tyres in america.

One room in my house is starting to become a drag racing museum i though i cant resist buying these kits when i see them lol

started to buy various cabinets to display my models, never have had them on show before in 40 years. I think I counted 110 on display, unfortunately that is barely half of my finished models, so many more cabinets needed. The cabinets vary, cos I pick them up cheap as end of stock clearance. They all have glass doors, but I removed or opened them for most shots.
