Oh the pop !! Ive seen you in the last 4 years and told you i sold it to someone in the midlands area. He was just going to do it in to a track car and paint it as he wishes unfortunatly. I suppose its his choice as he bought it but i hope he leaves the guttering as it was 8)

Adam,
John Atkinson was the cortina estate guy that I was thinking of.
Tim Holmes told me that he'd sold it to John as a near complete car and assumed that he'd stripped it.

Glad that you've finally got in touch with Mick, it kind of brings it all together somehow.

It's amazing how much has come out of this thread with its ownership. Like everyone else I had no idea that John had owned the car so top marks for Ian for finding that tasty little tit bit.

Here's a couple from my own slide collection. I'm guessing 1981 here at possibly the Cannonball Meet at Santa Pod!

Thanks for more pictures jerry. Its given me a kick up the arse to get out and try again. Ive not done anything since before xmas due to getting stuck with things on it, and not having a job yet is pissing me off big time and it reflects back on working on the T. Hopefully get the problems sorted at some point and then i can get cracking on it again. Was hoping to get it out for the HRD`s but looking like it might be atleast next years HRD`s if im lucky the way things are going. Anyone got and skill or motivation for sale ?? :?

Speaking to a freind the other day and he seems to think that the chassis never had the circilar holes in the chassis when mick owned it. Does anyone know if this is true or who or when theyse holes might of been put in ?? It was obviously to save weight. :)

Anyone know how the steering was put together on this ? Im using coilovers on the front and it will be in the way of the steering hoop. :? I remember mick telling me it had a steering box on from a (pro mod) i think it was. The set up ive got isnt going to work and i cant get any other steering bits for it untill i know how it will work. Ive never used this kind of steering before so clueless on how to get around this :(

Any pics and info received is greatly appreciated as it all helps with the resto job.

Sid, the body is a Pat Cuss special, starting with a Jago '23 T bucket which was modified extensively before a mould was taken to produce the race bodies. The body, rear fenders and running boards are all one piece. The bonnet/ grille and individual front fenders dzus fasten to the frame.
Well actually - no it wasn't. I imported the original shell when I operated "Muscle City" in Birmingham. NO, no, no it wasn't taken from a Jago anything. It was an American Track T Roadster which Mick asked if he could borrow for Pat to remodel and take moulds from. The deal was that I was to get a body from the moulds, but never did.

However, by pure coincidence many years later I saw the remains of the car advertised in Sheffield and set about rebuilding it with a Ford 502ci motor with Powerglide and 3 stage NOS. However, I was so busy with my Replica Car business [ Porsche, Cobra, Jaguar ] that I just didn't have the time to complete it.

I was into 27T's from my days at Americar and I built the car as an Eddie Sigmund homage - complete with Pink Candy and flames. NO - let's get history right - the original body buck came courtesy of myself at Muscle City via a Pat Cuss makeover.
