The ageing ex-Tom Hoover Corvette was given another lease of life in 88 when Wynn's came on board with a sponsorship deal for the car, A whale tail appeared too and Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School graduate John Niedodowz did most of the driving.

The car reappeared again in 96 in the hands of 'mad man' Andy Haizell with big block Chevy power and re-named 'Southern Belle 2'.
