This dragster must have seemed a good idea at the time - It was driven by Dave Lee Travis who was a DJ with National Radio 1 at the time. He had previously driven the Stones' 'Tender Trap' modified Ford Escort with success and moved on to this specially built fuel dragster. Dave is NOT a small man, which meant that the drivers compartment was cavernous! - Also the car sported vast fibreglass 'streamlining'.
